Welcome to Peru! Arrival to the Jorge Chavez International Airport where you will be picked up by a representative of Golden Peruvian Tours and will be transferred to the selected hotel in the tourist district of Miraflores. Assistance with check in. Overnight. (Check in 15:00)

Day 2

Lima

Breakfast at the hotel.
In the morning, transfer to the Marina of Callao Club to take the Swimming with Sea Lions tour. Meeting Point at 10:00hrs. Departure to the islands. During the whole tour, we will observe open sea, rocky Islands, dung birds, fishermen boats at work and a Humboldt penguin rookery. Arriving to the far point on route, the Palomino Island, a huge sea lion rookery appears, a group come to us playing, swimming, jumping and diving below the boat. Wearing wetsuits we might jump into the water with life vests and share the ocean with them, swimming with them; sometimes the young ones come up and touch us out of curiosity; the old ones keep a 5 meters distance from us. They live in comfort because there are no predators. Being in the water close to the colony is an amazing moment for everyone who likes nature and wildlife. Return to the dock after two hours and a half of experiencing a full sea nature adventure. Transfer to the hotel. In the late afternoon, we will pick you up to a panoramic visit to Lima and the Park of the Reserve to enter the Magic Water Tour, the newest entertainment icon in the city, comprised of 13 water fountains that provide a mixture of color, illusion and fantasy. Return to the hotel.

Day 3

Lima / Cusco / Urubamba

Transfer to the airport to board the scheduled flight to the imperial city of Cusco, arrival at Cusco airport, where you will be picked up by a Golden Peruvian Tours representative and be transferred to the select hotel in Urubamba. On the way we will stop for a visit. Our first visit will be Chincheros, a beautiful Andean village famous for its spectacular mountain views, colourful marketplace, traditional textile weaving centre and an ancient church with unique floral and religious interior motifs. At this point we will have the opportunity to witness live an ancient technique, the Andean weaving or pallay, which has preserved its originality and craft quality, made entirely with natural materials that supply clothing for the high-Andean. Accompanied by a local weaver, we will learn the Andean technique following all the stages step by step, from the washing process with the root of the saqtana (traditional plant), spinning with the pushca (textile tool of the Incas) getting threads of different thicknesses depending on the use of each one, the dying of the threads with natural dyes such as the cochinilla, molle, chillcka, the kolle flower, aguay pilly, papel papelilla, kakasenka, eucalyptus and finally the weaving demonstration. At the end of the demonstration we will taste local products: corn and cheese provided by locals and also, we could buy textiles in their local market. From this place we will have a panoramic view of Chincheros ruins, our guide will explain us about it. We will continue our tour to the local restaurant for lunch with a spectacular view of Urubamba River. At the end, transfer to the hotel. Rest of the afternoon at leisure.

Day 4

Urubamba / Aguas Calientes

Early in the morning we will visit the Inca Fortress and Citadel of Ollantaytambo, built to guard the entrance to this part of the Valley, and protect it from possible invasion from the tribes in the Lower jungle. The Fortress consists of a series of stepped carved stone terraces accessed by long staircases. Later you can walk through the quaint streets of the nearby Town, and get a good idea of what this Strategic Military, Religious, and Agricultural Centre was like during the era of the Inca Empire. After lunch, visit an authentic Quechua Village to feel the way of life of the Inca's ancestors. The Inca himself was a noble Quechua. They live off the land and are always wearing their colourful ponchos, see Quechua children scamper about while woman are weaving their family's clothes. A meaningful experience! Transfer to Ollanta train station to take the train to Aguas Calientes town. Arrive and check in.

Day 5

Aguas Calientes / Machu Picchu / Cusco

In the morning we will visit the famous Inca Citadel of Machu Picchu, also known as "The Lost City of the Incas", one of the best known examples of surviving Inca architecture. Declared a UNESCO “World Heritage Site” and one of the “Seven Wonders of the World,” we will begin our tour of the citadel, admiring its steps, temples, sanctuaries and terraces. There is still no known explanation as to how the Incas could move 20-ton stones to the top of Machu Picchu, a mystery that makes this a uniquely spiritual and beautiful site. Upon arrival, you will participate in a guided tour of the Citadel, visiting the Main Plaza, the Circular Tower, the sacred sun dial (the most important preserved Intihuatana), the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows and various burial grounds. After the tour, you will have time to stroll around the Archaeological Site at your own. Return to Aguas Calientes town for lunch in Quntu restaurant. In the afternoon return to Cusco by train.

Day 6

Cusco

In the morning, we start our visit in San Cristobal Square to enjoy a panoramic view of Cusco city. Continue our tour and after approximately 30 minutes, we will make our first stop in Awanakancha, Textile Centre where you can meet native weavers and see the species of South American camelids, including lamas, alpacas, guanacos and vicuñas. Then we will visit with the Wildlife Sanctuary of Cochahuasi, dedicated to rescuing and looking after animals which have suffered mistreatment of any kind from former owners or evil poachers or illegal hunters whom commercialize protected species. These rescued animals are put under the care of C.A.S by The forest Rangers, a dependency of The National Police or by the National Government. We have been sheltering wild species, many of which are endangered. One of the species at risk of extinction is The Andean Condor, it deserves special consideration, because its population has been seriously decimated, and efforts to encourage its reproduction in captivity and later releasing the young Condors. Return to Cusco, we will visit: Tambomachay: Located 9 km. of the city of Cusco, known as the Inca Bath, by the shape of its water sources, could also be a temple dedicated to the worship of water, then return to our visit to the city of Cusco. Sacsayhuaman: In Inca times was called "house of the sun" and was a great religious center of great importance, this construction is attributed to the Incas of the past dynasties; it is located 5 km from the city of Cusco. Return to hotel. Rest of the afternoon at your leisure. Dinner buffet show included at night.

Cusco / Arequipa

Transfer to the airport to take the flight to Arequipa. Arrival, transfer to the select hotel. Rest of the day at your leisure know the city by your own.

Day 8

Arequipa / Colca

Early in the morning, after breakfast, departure by land on your excursion towards the Colca Valley driving across Pampa Cañahuas at the Aguada Blanca National Reserve, habitat of herds of Vicuñas and stopping at the Mirador de los Andes, the Crater of Chucura, the Mirador de Chivay, where beautiful pre-Columbian terraces still being cultivated by native Collaguas can be observed. The highest point of the road is at 4350 m.a.s.l. Arrival to the Town of Chivay at 13:00hrs. approximately. Transfer to your selected Lodge. In the afternoon free time to visit Hot Spring Thermal and Medicinal Baths.

Day 9

Colca / Arequipa

Early in the morning, departure to the "Condor's Cross" from where the great Andean bird, the Condor, may be spotted flying in circles above still farmed green pre-Hispanic terraces. Enjoy the impressive panorama of the Colca Canyon, one of the deepest in the World (3,180 mts.). On the way back to Chivay, visit to the Mirador of Chinina, where we will find the famous Hanging Tombs and the Hanging Bridge of Sifón that joins the Town of Yanque with Coporaque. At the Town of Yanque, visit its beautiful church and its characteristic cobbled stone streets among other attractions. To have spectacular views of the Colca Valley, we will drive to the observation points of Choquetipo and Artahuilque and to the Town of Maca. Afternoon after short rest, return to the City of Arequipa, arriving at 18:00hrs. Approximately.
