Buenos Aires / San Antonio de Areco
Transfer to San Antonio de Areco, a city traditionally associated to the Gauchos. It is located 110 kilometers away from Buenos Aires. We will spend 2 days and 1 night at El Ombú de Areco, an exclusive ranch of the humid pampas. It’s an estate that originally belonged to Pablo Richieri. The main building, built in 1880, is surrounded by lofty galleries with lanterns, and has a beautiful four-hectare park, full of oak trees, araucarias, palms, casuarinas, magnolias, and the huge ombu tree that gives the place its name. There, we’ll enjoy a delicious country grill and the best Argentine wines, or a superb international menu. During the summer, lunch will be held below the namesake ombu tree. At the Estancia, we will be able to enjoy the pool (only in Summer time) and the solarium, go trekking or bird watching, or take part of the many rural activities performed there. We’ll also go horseback riding to see the Estancia, on one of their splendid –and tame– animals.Overnight: San Antonio de Areco

Day 5
Buenos Aires
Departure from the hotel northwards, passing by the residential neighborhoods and the President's Residence in Olivos. Leaving the city of Buenos Aires, your next destination will be the San Isidro district, an elegant residential area. You will visit the beautiful Neo-gothic Cathedral, placed in the historic center of the city, which is surrounded by some Colonial and Italian style houses, cobbled streets and its square with centenary trees. Within a short distance you will find the renewed San Isidro Train Station, an interesting complex of restaurants, cinemas and shopping mall. The visit continues towards Tigre, a lovely neighborhood situated in the delta of Paraná River. The area was first colonized in 1580, but it was not until the last years of the XVIII century that some people settled in this area. The first inhabitants were smugglers that took advantage of the maze of little rivers and isles to hide and to sneak in with goods, evading custom taxes. Finally, towards the end of the 19th century, it turned into the favorite place for recreation to the high class of Buenos Aires. Therefore, a sail along the Delta, will allow you to admire the old residences making contrast with the wooden houses built over piles, to beat the constant floods; you will also see some yatch and rowing clubs and get to know the typical features of a community that lives in close fellowship with the river. The delta gathers several little isles covered with abundant subtropical vegetation, crossed by channels and streams.Overnight: Buenos Aires
