Itineraries

Day 1

… / La Paz

Private transfer from the airport Pick up from the hotel to visit Jaen Colonial Street, which is one of the most well preserved colonial streets of the city. The tour continues to Plaza Murillo where the Cathedral, the Government Palace and the National Congress buildings are located. After, walk through Witches Market provides a fascinating window on the secretive world of Andean mysticism. Later, visit Rodriguez typical market, the largest food market in La Paz, the variety of the products are as colorful as the outfit of the local women who sell them. A must in La Paz is certainly taking a ride in a Cable Car to enjoy fantastic views and to finish the tour visit the spectacular Moon Valley features bizarre geological formations.

Day 2

La Paz / Titicaca Lake / La Paz

La Paz - Copacabana - Sun Island (South) - Inti Wata Complex - Titicaca Lake Early land transfer to Copacabana for a brief visit and then board the catamaran cruise ship to sail to Sun Island, birthplace of the Inca Empire. In this legendary island visit the Inca's Garden, Stairs and Fountain. The itinerary continues with the Inti Wata Cultural Complex, which includes the Ekako Underground Museum, the Traditional Medicine and the Titikaka Reed Shipbuilders Display Centres, the Pachamama agricultural Inca Terraces, a handicraft center, the Intica Lounge, and, at the Manco Kapac gazer, the largest variety of Andean camelids. Our Complex also includes a unique sailing experience aboard a huge Titikaka traditional reed vessel for a panoramic visit to the Pilkokaina Inca Palace. Return to the catamaran to enjoy a buffet lunch on board and then continue with a land transfer to La Paz city.

Day 3

La Paz / Uyuni

IF NOT FLOODED
Pick up from the Airport. Departure to the Salt Flat visiting the Train Cemetery, the Colchani village where is possible to observe the extracting salt process by hand and the salt local handicrafts. Visit to "Playa Blanca" a museum of salt; "Ojos de Sal", the salt eyes, interesting to be the exit points of the salt water; salt hexagons, geometric shapes on the salt flats surface, piles of salt and we will cross the salt flats to enjoy the beautiful landscapes. Picnic lunch in the middle of the salt flats. Also you can visit to Incahuasi Island, it is located in the heart of the salt flat and it is the biggest of a group of islands that represents an isolated ecosystem. The island is populated with giant cacti species that measures up to 12 meters high (26.25 feet), providing an impressive overview. We will appreciate the sunset, take pictures and drop off to the hotel.
IF FLOODED
Pick up from the Airport. Departure to the Salt Flat visiting first, the Train Cemetery and the village of Colchani where one can see the extracting salt process and also some local handmade handicrafts. During the rainy season, the entire Salt desert is covered by water, turning into one giant mirror where the sky is reflected. It is a surreal landscape where everything seems to float. Visit of the "Ojos de Sal" or salt eyes; exit points of underground water, the salt hexagons adorning the desert with their geometric shapes and the piles of salt, attractive little pyramids made by the villagers of Colchani. Picnic lunch in the salt flats. We will appreciate the sunset, take pictures and drop off to the hotel.

Day 4

Uyuni / La Paz

Private transfer to the airport in Uyuni and fly to La Paz, arrival and transfer in La Paz. Passengers are picked up to visit the epic city of Tiwanaku, the capital of an ancient civilization. Located 72 km away form the city of La Paz and near the south-eastern shores of Lake Titikaka. During its greatest times, the capital of Tiwanaku was the largest in the world and considered to be the Cradle of all American Civilizations. This pre-Inca ruins started endless archeological debates, the most recent radiocarbon 14 tests show that this edifications date back to 1580 B.C. In this ancient breath taking city we will visit the Kalasasaya (Sun) temple, Semisubterranean (Earth) Temple, Akapana Pyramid and the legendary Sun Gate, the tour also takes us to the museum filled with ceramic objects and tools from previous civilizations prior to the Incas,
