Day 1

… / Buenos Aires

Meeting at Ezeiza airport and transfer to the hotel.

Day 2

Buenos Aires

Half day sightseeing of Buenos Aires, a cosmopolitan city that shows the influence of the numerous herds of immigrants that formed it. The tour starts visiting the 9 de Julio Av., Plaza de la Republica and the Obelisk, passing by the famous Colon Opera House. The tour continues to the historic Plaza de Mayo square surrounded by the Government House, the Cabildo (the old city Hall), and the Cathedral. Southwards, we reach the Italian-flavored neighborhood of La Boca with its famous street, “Caminito”. Later we will visit San Telmo, one of the most preserved areas with a number of colonial houses and its cobblestone streets. On the way to the north part of the city we will visit the modern “Puerto Madero” neighborhood, the residential Palermo district and the elegant neighborhood of Recoleta and its cemetery where famous personalities are buried.

Day 3

Buenos Aires / Bariloche

Transfer to Aeroparque airport to board the flight to San Carlos de Bariloche. Arrival. Meeting at the airport and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, departure for Circuito Chico excursion. The excursion starts in Bariloche through Exequiel Bustillo Avenue. The road is asphalted and sinuous and borders Nahuel Huapi Lake. At Playa Bonita, 8 kilometers from Bariloche, we will admire Huemul Island. About 10 kilometers forward, after passing through different landscapes, we will reach Campanario Hill base. Here, you can take a chairlift which will take you to the top (1.050 m.a.s.l.) from where you will be able to admire one of the most beautiful and fascinating views in this area. You will be able to the see Perito Moreno and Nahuel Huapi lakes, Trébol Lagoon, San Pedro and Llao Llao Peninsulas, Victoria Island, Otto Hill, Cathedral Hill and Bariloche city. We will then continue our way and, after passing San Pedro peninsula area, we will get to Llao Llao peninsula where the Llao Llao Hotel & Resort and San Eduardo Chapel, two architectonic treasures stand out, by Nahuel Huapi lake: Puerto Pañuelo. Continuing we will cross the golf courses, Angostura bridge over Angostura river which connects Moreno and Nahuel Huapi lakes and Bahia Lopez, at the foot of Mt. Lopez. Further on, we will arrive at the panoramic lookout, a natural balcony, from where we will admire Moreno Lake and Llao Llao Peninsula. After crossing the bridge over Moreno Lake, we will border Trébol Lagoon and two kilometers further, return to Bariloche through Exequiel Bustillo Avenue closing the circuit.

Day 4

Bariloche

Departure for San Martin de los Andes excursion, which will take us into Nahuel Huapi and Lanín National Parks, departing from Bariloche through the 237 National Route northwards bordering Nahuel Huapi Lake up to Limay River. Continue along the 231 National Route bordering the lake’s north extreme up to Villa La Angostura through Huemul Peninsula and Manzano Port. Short stop at Villa La Angostura to get to know this beautiful village surronded by a dense woods and imposing snowed peaks. Continue through Correntoso, Espejo Escondido, Falkner, Villarino, Babley, Machonico and Lacar Lakes. Arrival at San Martín de los Andes, the most important touristic center in Neuquén Province, situated by the shores of Lacar Lake.

Day 5

Bariloche

Depart from the hotel for a full day tour to Tronador Hill, the most impressive mountain inside Nahuel Huapi National Park. The journey departs from Bariloche through national route 40. Border Gutiérrez lake and cross the Pilmaiquén river and the Melgarejo stream. Further on, we will border the Mascardi lake. On our right, national route 254 and the path to Tronador hills appear. Take this path by crossing the bridge above the Manso Superior river up to Pampa Linda. Nearly the end of the journey and after leaving behind a shady woods we arrive to the Río Manso glacier, known as “Black Blizzard”. The journey ends further on, by the foot of the Tronador hill. The three peaks that distinguish this hill are: the Argentinian of 3.554mts, the International of 3.554mts and the Chilean of 3.410mts. The return is performed throughout the same path.
NOTE: ascending and descending timetables are set because it is a one-way and sinuous path. You can go up until 2 PM and return from 4 PM.

Day 6

Bariloche / El Calafate

Transfer to Bariloche Airport to board the flight to El Calafate. Arrival. Meeting at the airport and transfer to the hotel.

Day 7

El Calafate

Transfer to Punta Bandera Private Port (47 kilometers from the city of El Calafate). Once on board we will sail through the North Arm of the Argentino Lake to reach the Upsala Canal, where we will find a spectacular Icebergs Barrier. From there we will have a panoramic view of the Upsala Glacier. Afterwards we will navigate the Spegazzini Canal, where we will observe the Seco Glacier to reach the front of Spegazzini Glacier, the highest in the National Park. We will disembark at Spegazzini Base and have a walk through the woods to Spegazzini Refuge. Return to the boat and navigate back to Punta Bandera Private Port. Transfer to El Calafate.

Day 8

El Calafate

Departure from the hotel towards Perito Moreno Glacier situated within Los Glaciares National Park, 80 km from El Calafate (half way along a gravel route). Perito Moreno Glacier is an imposing ice river with an area of 195 square meters, a length of 30Km. and a front which is 5 Km wide; the frontal walls are between 30 and 60 meters high over the lake level. In the central area of the glacier the ice reaches a depth of 250 to 350 meters. This frozen river descends from the Southern Patagonian Ice Field causing, during its slow advance, ice cracks and thunderous bursts that turned the glacier into a marvel in constant movement. A show that is impressing not only for its beauty but also for the continuous roars that are heard from its innermost recesses. Because of its breathtaking beauty it was declared a Mankind Heritage by Unesco. A walk along the paths placed in front of its western wall will let you admire this impressive wonder of nature from different points of view. It is possible to take an optional navigation to enjoy a different view of the glacier wall from the water level, what makes it possible to get a better idea of the height of its peaks and towers (Navigation length: 1 hr).

El Calafate / Ushuaia

Transfer to El Calafate airport to board the flight to Ushuaia. Arrival. Meeting at the airport and transfer to the hotel.

Day 10

Ushuaia

Departure from the city southward along National Route 3 towards Tierra del Fuego National Park, the only one in the country situated on the maritime coast, only 12 km from Ushuaia. A fascinating trip with assorted views on the Beagle Channel, surrounded by the most charming views offered by the southern tip of the Andes Mountain Range before plunging into the ocean and the Andean-Patagonian forest, formed by diversity of tree species such as: lengas, guindos, ñires, notros and assorted flowers such as: orchids, violets, daisies, sea-pinks and Fuegian edelweiss. A trip along peat bogs and beaver dams, leads to Lapataia River and Green Lagoon. From there you will travel the final part of Route 3 that finishes in Lapataia Bay. The primitive aborigine settlers have left their traces in the 'concheros', unbelievable archaeological deposits that provide interesting information about these people's everyday life. Return to Ushuaia, stopping at Roca Lake to admire the characteristic weather-changing colors of its waters. Return to the hotel. In the afternoon, departure from the hotel towards Ushuaia touristic pier where your will embark the catamaran that will take you to the Birds and Sea Lions Islands, through the waters of Beagle Channel. The tour begins sailing along Ushuaia Bay from where you will get an excellent panoramic view of the city framed by Andean mountains. Once you have reached the end of the bay, you will go through Paso Chico, which indicates the start of the mythic Beagle Channel. You will border the northern coast passing by Archipelago Bridges till you reach Birds Island, where you will be able to appreciate the great variety of sea birds that live in the area: cormorants, albatrosses, ducks, sea gulls, etc. Close to this place, you will see the Sea Lions Island with its sea lions settlement, a unique opportunity to watch at the same time sea lions of one and two hairs and get to understand the differences between both species. You will finally get to Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse.

Day 11

Ushuaia / Buenos Aires

Transfer to Ushuaia airport to board your flight to Buenos Aires. Arrival. Meeting at Aeroparque airport and transfer to the hotel. In the evening, departure to one of the restaurants that offer tango shows of an excellent level, to enjoy tango sensual magnetism taken to the stage by some of the best dancers, singers and musicians in Buenos Aires. You will also taste a delicious dinner (before the show).
