Day 1

… / Lima

Welcome to Peru! Arrival to the Jorge Chavez International Airport where you will be picked up by a representative of Golden Peruvian Tours and will be transferred to the selected hotel in the tourist district of Miraflores. Assistance with check in. Overnight. (Check in 15:00)

Day 2

Lima / Cusco

At proper time, the airport for your domestic flight to Cusco. Arrival to Cusco, transfer to the select hotel. Free time to acclimatization. Today we will have an exclusive tour of the city that begins with a visit to the San Pedro Market, where we will know more closely the local products. Then continue to the Koricancha Convent, welcomes us with all its magnificence, where it is still possible to feel the magic of walls that were once entirely covered with gold. We will also visit Santo Domingo Church. After that, we will continue to San Blas, the neighborhood of artisans, to visit its peculiar church and then descend walking down Hatun Rumiyoc Street, finding in our way the Inca Roca Palace, the Archbishop's Palace today. We will have time to admire the world famous Stone of Twelve Angles. We will continue to the Main Square to visit the Cathedral with a great historic value.

Day 3

Cusco / Challacancha / Soraypampa / Salkantay Sky Lodge / Humantay Lake

Very early in the morning, your mountain guide and our driver will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco. The first stop will be in Mollepata to have breakfast, then we will continue our route until Challacancha for a short rest, from this point we will begin our walk towards Soraypampa. In this first opportunity, we will initiate a physical challenge that will help you to acclimatise to the altitude. We will arrive at our destination, Salkantay Sky Lodge, located at the front of the majestic and snowy Salkantay and Humantay, where the reception staff will be waiting for you with an exquisite lunch and after there´ll be some free time for us. We will prepare to start a light walk towards the turquoise lagoon of Humantay, 4200 masl. We will spend an unforgettable night accompanied by thousands of stars and constellations.

Walking time to the turquoise lagoon: 3 hrs (round trip).

Day 4

Soraypampa / Salkantay Sky Lodge / Salkantay Pass / Cusco

Today is the grand day, because we will reach the highest point of the trek where you will cross marvellous landscapes bordered by a great complex of mountains, and we will gradually ascend a way known as "THE TRAIL OF THE 7 SNAKES", until reaching the impressive Abra Salkantay at 4.638 masl 15.213 ft. The time really freezes when you think that you will tell of a unique and unforgettable experience. After enjoying a view of the snowy mountains and feeling the force of nature, we will pass through a great stoney scenery and we will descend until arriving at our lunch point in a place called Soyrococha. After lunch we will descend towards Soraypampa and in the distance, we will have a remote view of the great snow-covered forest of stones. It is rewarding the effort because we will take the memory of a great experience. We will continue our final steps to Salkantay Sky Lodge where the transportation to Cusco will be waiting and we will arrive at approximately 6pm.

Day 5

Cusco

In the afternoon, we will visit the 04 nearby ruins from Cusco: Sacsayhuaman.- Located 3 Km. From Cusco, Inca fortress with an excellent and great architecture. Qenqo.- Ceremonial and Ritual Centre, Also place where sacrifices were made. PucaPucara.- Was more likely a Tambo, or kind of post house than an actual fortress Tambomachay.- 7 Km. From Cusco, site for ritual bathing its use was restricted to the higher nobility, who maybe only used the baths on ceremonial occasions. Return to the hotel

Day 6

Cusco / Machu Picchu / Cusco

The day starts with an early morning rise to transfer to the Train Station and board the Train for a journey to the famous Inca Citadel of Machu Picchu, also known as "The Lost City of the Incas", one of the best-known examples of surviving Inca architecture. Arrive at Aguas Calientes Station followed by a 30-minute bus drive, climbing 6km of winding road, to the marvellous Citadel. Upon arrival, you will participate in a guided tour of the Citadel, visiting the Main Plaza, the Circular Tower, the sacred sun dial (the most important preserved Intihuatana), the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows and various burial grounds. Lunch will be included at local restaurant in Aguas Calientes town. In the afternoon, return to Cusco by train.

09:00hrs Check out. At proper time, transfer to the airport to take the regular flight to Lima or start you extension to another destination in Peru.
